COROLLA AE101 'SNF SPEC' 4AGE 20V TURBO

Although we are a dealer for Adaptronic ecu,we have been working with a lot of other ecu brand in the market like Haltech,Link G4,Motec,Microtech and others.A friend come with his newly assembled 4age 20v Blacktop with Blitz KKK K26 turbo,and Haltech Sprint 500 for tuning this wonderful and rare 20v turbo kit.



Boost is at a low 0.7 bar taper to 0.6 bar.This car is to be used on track racing,since this is a new setup,it is important for the driver to familiarize with the new power level.Next year we will increase the boost to about 1 to 1.2 bar for more power.Hopefully will achieve target of 220HP at the wheels.

Brunei Trip 2014

R.N.R Autosport have been invited to Brunei to check out the car tuning and motorsport scene over there.It is very very pleasant trip,with very nice cars.We felt very welcome and the hospitality shown by the Bruneian friends is at its best. We manage to solve problem of one car fitted with Adaptronic e420d.The smile and satisfaction of every customer is very meaningful to us,we will continue to provide the best possible service to our customers.

AE111 + Adaptronic e420d + 1.75L Stroker kit

 R.N.R Autosport have been a dealer for Adaptronic ecu for 3 years now,we have a lot of projects and have worked with various engines.We are amazed with the flexibility of the Adaptronic ecu and its value for money.It runs very smooth and almost like a stock ecu and comes with a lot of features for its price.

Here we have a Stroked 4age 20v. The engine displacement have been increased to 1.75L from 1.6L.It runs Adaptronic e420d ecu with few other add on goodies to the engine.

 Base engine is 20v Blacktop

Here is the result with RON95.

R.N.R Autosport have been Dyno Dynamics for tuning every customer vehicle since it is easy to tune the part throttle with this dyno. The downside of it is its figures are lower than Dynojet and most other dynos.
It makes customer very sad but on road performance is what more important.
For us,dyno is just a tool to help us tune the engine,not to compare horsepower.

Toyota Corolla SEG AE111 4age 20v BT + Adaptronic e420d

Hi,Good day,here we have another Corolla AE111 with 4age 20v swap coming in for Adaptronic ecu. The engine is completely stock except for HKS extractor.

Car being strapped for dyno.

Red graph is stock ecu,Blue graph is Adaptronic ecu.

Quite a minimal gain with this engine,the stock ecu setting was pretty close to optimum where the engine can produce its power and torque.However throttle response was improved.The torque dip where the VVT is disengage is also improved by changing the VVT disengagement RPM.

Nissan Cefiro with 2JZ GTE VVT-i + Adaptronic e420d

An owner of a Nissan Cefiro with 2JZ transplant want a better performance from his stock 2JZ motor.We fitted and tuned his engine with Adaptronic e420d ecu.

Stock engine,0.95 bar boost tapering to 0.85 bar at redline,the sequential twin turbo have been converted to parellel operation and drive by wire throttle body (ETCS-i) have been disabled. 


Final result,base run and optimized.We having problems with initial boost response after a few run due to boost control system unstable but manage to find a bit more top end torque and power.

R.N.R Autosport have building harness for Standalone aftermarket ecu for years.Now we have released an  Adaptronic 420d/440 ecu Plug and Play harness for 1JZ/2JZ engines,both VVTi and Non VVTi.

Toyota Corolla SEG 4WD with 4AGE 20V + Adaptronic e420d

This Corolla SEG 4WD is a very rare car in Malaysia,this unit is fully imported from Japan.

The car have original 4AGE 20v fitted from factory and a 4WD transmission.Due to the 4WD the power output at the wheels is very much lower than the 2WD version.This car has been fitted with 272 cams and 4-2-1 extractor.Adaptronic ecu was chosen for engine management.

Untuned vs tuned,huge increase,but still pretty much lower than its 2WD counterpart.We guess that the transmission taking so much power from the engine.

Proton Putra 1.8 Hybrid Mivec + Adaptronic e420d

We have a customer who want to fit a standalone ecu for his 1.8L Hybrid MIVEC engine,and there is no other ecu in the market that packs so many features for a low price like the Adaptronic e420d Basic Select ecu.So we made a special plug and play patch harness for his car and it is very convenient to install.

The engine is using stock Putra 1.8L Block (stock piston and rod) and coupled with MIVEC head.OEM Mivec wiring harness is used.

Easy installation with patch harness,the ecu even controls idle valve,radiator fan and a/c compressor.Working like stock ecu.Full sequential injection,the Mivec is triggered by Adaptronic as well.

Due to low compression on the piston hence a low power the produced,the green is the base run with stock ecu and red is Adaptronic ecu.

Toyota Corolla AE101 with 4age 20v + E-manage Ultimate

Final result of this tuning.Again this is a healthy engine with this sorts of power output.Engine is stock except for an aftermarket 4-1 extractor.

Toyota Corolla SEG with 4AGE 20V Blacktop + E-manage Blue.

Hi,we have another 4ag 20v with e-manage coming.The e-manage is very popular with automotive enthusiasts in engine tuning.

 Stock engine.



End result,green is before and red is after tuned,this is normal HP output for stock healthy engine.Car should go much faster with 15 inch wheels rather than 16 inch the owner is using now. :)

Mazda MX-5 Miata + Adaptronic Plug in ECU


We have our second MX5 Miata come for tuning. Its a 1.8 liter model with 6 speed transmission.

Engine bay,stock engine with extractor and adjustable camshaft pulley on both intake and exhaust

Final results after advancing the intake cam. Stock horsepower was about 96whp. Very huge gains by using the Adaptronic ecu alone.This engine can take quite a lot of timing from stock.The owner does gymkhana with this car and he love to low end torque improvement.

Toyota Corolla KE70 with 4AGTE + Adaptronic e420d engine tuning

Hi,we have another 4AGTE coming in. This time it is in RWD form.

The engine bay,stock 4AGZE long block engine with S15 silvia OEM turbo,440cc injectors,coils,igniters and intercoolers are from Mitsubishi . Engine management is Adaptronic e420d


Once again,old is gold.

This what we achieved,203whp at 0.9 bar of boost (tapering to 0.7 at 8000rpm redline),we run out of injectors at 1 bar.The curve is good,it feels very quick and have no traction issues. It leave my JZX90 in  dusts on 3rd gear pull.

Hi,first entry in 6 months time.Been very busy to update this blog but here we go.

 Old but don't underestimate what it could do


Here is the final figure. 1.4 Bar of boost and capable of revving to 9000rpm in a small light car is fun,just need find better traction though. Through AFR and ignition tune we manage to better the original tune especially at the top end power and torque. This engine is pretty durable,for an old small motor,it is amazing its still holding up. And we haven't really run it on full boost yet (1.8 bar capable). Turbo is T04E,stock 4AGZE bottom.
