Toyota Altezza + 1JZ GTE VVT-i + Adaptronic e420d

Hi,

An Altezza owner with 1JZ GTE VVTi conversion have chosen Adaptronic as his rides brain. The engine is pretty stock with single top mounted T04E,a front mounted intercoolers and exhaust systems.Installation is done by the owner himself with guidance from R.N.R Autosport as this is his learning project.

Running with Adaptronic e420d,VVT-i is maintained and controlled by Adaptronic ECU.On to the tuning then..

After lots of runs on the dyno, here is the final result with 1.4 bar of boost, the injector have already maxed out at this point. The engine also have some problems with ignition/interference hence the premature rev cut here as seen in the graph. That need to be sorted out later,i reckoned it will be a little bit better when the issues are solved. For now,we settled at 356 WHP.

More on this later.

Altezza + 2JZ-FSE engine swap

This is my first time seeing this engine in an Altezza, perhaps maybe this is the first 2JZ-FSE transplanted in an Altezza in Malaysia. 2JZ-FSE is a 3 liter inline 6 with direct injection, which means the injector will inject fuel directly into the combustion chamber, which gives good fuel economy and less emission. This engine can run extremely lean Air fuel ratio.

.The engine swap and engine wiring was done at another shop but a few indicators on the instrument panel does not work, hence the owner asked me whether i could make it work, to be honest, i have no idea if it will work at all, as most of the info on the instrument panel is using Multiplex system. When we change the ecu, the system is interrupted, so now the speedo does not work,ABS light was on,Check engine light was on,fuel level indicator keep on blinking plus a few other things.
